Mapping Rural Pakistan

Khwarizmi Science Society and Government M.A.O. College bring together a Public Lecture on mapping rural Pakistan. Dr. Sohaib Khan's work demonstrates the employment of modern georeferencing tools for registering British-era Mauza maps of Pakistan. The work promises to revolutionize geographical distribution of resources inside the country and will help identify sensitive areas in relation to poverty, illiteracy, crime, natural disasters and other socio-economic indicators.
