KSS joins hands with Astrobiology Network of Pakistan

Astrobiology, the fascinating field of science that titillates every atom of curiosity in us, has come to Pakistan. Astrobiology Network of Pakistan (ABNP) is a network of multi-disciplinary scientists and highly motivated science enthusiasts keen to learn and explore the avenues of origin, evolution and diversity of life in the Universe. Dr. Ruth Pfau Laid to Rest in Karachi

Pakistan's Mother Teresa, Dr. Ruth Katharina Martha Pfau was a German born humanitarian who served in Pakistan for more than 50 years. Dr. Pfau visited India in 1960 at the age of 31; she put a halt to her journey at Karachi when she came across the colony of Leprosy patients on McLeod Road, Karachi.

The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2016 was awarded to Yoshinori Ohsumi for his discovery of mechanisms of autophagy, a fundamental process for degrading and recycling cellular components.


Explaining the Nobel Prize in Physics 2016

David J. Thouless, F. Duncan M. Haldane, J. Michael Kosterlitz were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for the year 2016 for their monumental discoveries on topological materials and topological phase transitions. Their work, over the years, holds the key to describing superconductors, magnetic thin films, quantum phase transitions and the astounding role of topology in the behaviour of certain phases of matter. 

KSS signs MoU with Technology Times
