Alif Ailaan and Khwarizmi Science Society join hands for a nation wide program for science popularization through science and astronomy fairs. These activities will take place around the year, engaging communities from diverse backgrounds and regions of the country.
The science and math skills of Pakistani students is dismal. There is no political or journalistic apetite for scientific engagement. The campaign plans to foment a narrative where science and math can become center stage.
Khwarizmi Science Society is setting up a stall at the Lahore University of Management Sciences, on Monday September 9, 2013, in collaboration with their student body SPADES. The observation will start at 6:30 pm in the lawns of the School of Science and Engineering.
The astronomical objects which would be viewed, include Saturn and other deep sky objects.
A couple of telescopes will be set up by the Khwarizmi Science Society for astronomical viewing.

The KSS has received Rupees 1 lac from an old supporter for its outreach activities. This will help KSS a long way in arranging activities more efficiently. The well-wisher is an engineer working overseas who has requested his name to be witheld.
